Hi, I'm wondering if anyone(s) here would like to learn python with me/ work on an intro python class on coursera together. I really mean together - like we'd set a time each week to work on it where we would view lectures/do exercises/study simultaneously with a google hangout or Skype session open. This wouldn't necessarily have to be the same day/time each week, we could be flexible but ideally we'd both be committed to doing it at some point. The class is rice university's interactive python 1 class on courser, if you do a "python rice site:reddit.com" google you'll see a lot of people here really dig the class, it's very good. I've tried starting it a few times and I just haven't been able to stick with it. If you have any or if you know anyone else that might be into it, message me and I'll send you my Skype handle (or we can meet some other way - whatever works for you.) I'd also be interested in doing this with a genetics class and/or a few other subjects.. if you have another MOOC for a different subject or programming language you're really jazzed about, let me know .. but the python class has just started and you really have to stay caught up to the class to go through it so, it's timely : ) thanks for reading ! looking forward to meeting you
