I am someone who wants to start on a learn to code journey and am in search for a buddy, who is serious about this too. About me: I've been debating starting to learn how to code out of interest and also to see if I eventually want to make a carreer switch (I'm not really happy where I'm at now). I've started with freeCodeCamp and some other websites here and there, but never got far because I need accountability and a clear goal. So I decided I will make this serious now, find out what I want, set clear goals and find a buddy to work with. I'm not sure what direction I want to take yet, so I want to start with the freeCodeCamp course to begin with. I want to understand the basic concepts in programming and this seems like a good place to start I'm in CEST time zone (Amsterdam). For now I plan to start with study sessions 2 times a week, mainly on monday and wednesday for about 3 hours each (I use the Pomodoro technique). We can work together in a lot of different ways, but my vision is something like: we meet at least once a week to discuss our goals, share progress etc. Preferably we also study together if our schedule allows it in Pomodoros. And in breaks it will be fun to chitchat a bit :). It doesn't really matter if you study the same thing or at the same pace, but it would be the best, so we can also help each other, discuss and challenge each other. (Thats why I'm posting here, I know there are plenty of online study groups I can join as well).",https://discord.gg/RFrhKwDd,https://www.reddit.com/r/ProgrammingBuddies/comments/1drmit6/looking_for_a_learn_to_code_buddy_freecodecamp/,2024-07-08,2024-07-16,UTC+02.00,1,novice,inactive,219.90.98.84,7,
