Description
The tools and techniques required of a network engineer to troubleshoot a data network. In this course, we will dive into using standard utilities to troubleshoot problems at all layers of the OSI model. We will walk through some of the potential issues with the physical layer (copper and fiber optics,) data link layer (Ethernet and wireless,) network layer (IP addressing and routing,) transport layer (port numbers and services,) and the application layer (protocols like HTTP and DNS.) I will also provide some tips on how to approach problem solving with the real world experience from my networking career.
